Yes thre are all kins of tricksters out there but you can meet some genuinely good ppl. I have online friends that I have been corresponding with for more than 5 years, closer to 10 and I haven't met in RL. In fact I met 1 on EZboard. I have another who calls me every now and then just to say hello or to check in with me if he doesn't hear from me. Online friends are no different from having penpals I think.
